Angel on Fire opens in Heaven. Angel #9 (BARBARA JORDAN) is instructed to punish a Casanova named Steven for a lifetime of cruelty towards the opposite sex. Steven is a walking erection who scores more than the Chicago Bulls. After riding his girlfriend like a carnival pony, she tells him she’s pregnant and he throws her out on the street: "Raise the bastard yourself." But his lust for "killer sex" takes on new meaning when he’s immediately flattened by a truck.


Steven wakes up in Heaven: white flowing curtains, harp music, crystal chandeliers — apparently, their decorator is Liberace. He meets the celestial body of Angel #9 who explains that in order to save his soul, Steven must return to Earth in the body of a woman and "suffer the heartbreak of unrequited love." Steven is thus transformed into Stephanie (the delectable DARBY LLOYD RAINS).

Back on Earth, Stephanie tries out her new body via a one-night pop with MARC STEVENS. To his surprise, he enjoys being a girl. She takes a job as a model and is hopelessly smitten with a surly photographer named Jeff (America’s sweetheart, JAMIE GILLIS) who becomes a monster during sex. Soon, she’s doing anything to please him including arranging orgies. But Angel on Fire comes full circle when she gets pregnant and tearfully confronts him (Remember the opening).
