Johnny Griffin & Mike Mainieri Quintet - Modern Jazz at The Village Vanguard

Greenwich Village's Max Gordon-founded jazz club, The Village Vanguard, serves as the backdrop for this live 1981 set, headlined by the Johnny Griffin Quartet (Griffin on tenor sax, Kenny Washington on percussion, Ray Drummond on bass and Ronnie Matthews on piano). 

Two excellent concerts recorded in 1981 and 1982 respectively. With Ronnie Matthews, Eddie Gomez and Kenny Washington.
