Taking cold-calling to an artform, the fonejacker is a man on a mission. He’s addicted to making prank telephone calls, taking on various guises and voices to satisfy his need to confuse anyone at the end of the line.

Listen in as a bloke called Alan tries to get a rickshaw driver in central London to pick him up from Heathrow airport, cringe when an unsuspecting rube is asked to be the getaway driver for a heist in Kilburn, and marvel at Jean-Pierre’s chutzpah as he repeatedly tries to put a deposit down on sports car.

The show also features a variety of regular characters terrorising an unsuspecting public including wide-boy car salesman Terry Tibbs, The Mouse, Mr Doovde and financial scammer George Agdgdgwngo.

Originally shown as part of the 2006 Comedy Lab Season and following it up with an alternative Christmas message on E4, Fonejacker has been described as having “the rare alchemy of a brilliantly versatile character comedian at heart, a staggering amount of superb concepts and stylish execution to make it a brash and daring brand new comedy.”
