High School of the Dead (Gakuen Mokushiroku, "Academy Apocalypse") is a manga series written by Daisuke Sato and illustrated by Shouji Sato, published in Fujimi Shobo"s Monthly Dragon Age since September 2006. The manga was on hiatus between the end of 2008 and March 2010, with another short break between May and July 2010. An anime adaptation to the series produced by Madhouse began airing in Japan on July 5, 2010 and is being simulcast in the US.

The series follows a group of Japanese high school students caught in the middle of a zombie apocalypse.
