Post Description

Tweede cd van de AOR band Boulevard.
Super melodieuze nummers.
Gewoon een klasse CD.

History
In 1983, Mark Holden was invited to work in the new Thunderhead recording studios in Calgary, Alberta. Shortly thereafter, he and Randy Gould joined with vocalist David Forbes from Seattle to form the band BLVD. When the studio folded in 1985, the group moved to Vancouver and continued recording demos until finally landing a contract with MCA Records in 1987. The band"s lineup was rounded out by Andrew Johns (keyboards), Randy Burgess (bass) and Jerry Adolphe (drums).

Their self-titled debut album was recorded at Ocean Sound in Vancouver by producer Pierre "Baz" Bazinet and was mixed by notable rock producers Bob Rock and Mike Fraser. The album produced four singles and two videos, and the band had good exposure by touring Canada opening for Glass Tiger.

By 1990, the band expanded their name to Boulevard and revised their lineup with Thom Christiansen on Bass [formerly of Idle Eyes, later to play with Econoline Crush, Josh Kelly] and Randall Stoll on drums. They recorded Into the Street at Venture Studios in Vancouver with John Punter and released two singles in Canada. While the album is regarded today by some as an AOR classic, it did not fare well in the charts and the band broke up by 1991.
