Released in 1989, Urgency was the second album from Christian AOR group Liaison. Formed by brothers Larry and Tim Melby, Liaison played pop-oriented AOR similar to Toto, REO Speedwagon, and fellow Christian rockers Petra and Fighter. 

Urgency is the kind of album you"d only find in the late 80"s / early 90"s. It"s a very keyboard heavy AOR album, and while there are a couple of harder rocking tracks (Listen Up for example), the album has a lighter, more radio friendly feel. The band is obviously Christian, but their message is presented tactfully enough that non-Christians can also enjoy the music. Overall, Urgency is a solid AOR album that should appeal to most fans of the genre. 

NOTE: Urgency was reissued as part of a 2-on-1 package that also included the band"s 1989 self-titled debut. If you"re interested in checking out Liaison, that release is a better value for your money. 

One more thing: You know the old saying "never judge a book by its cover"? That doesn"t apply here. One look at the spectacular mullets the Melby brothers are sporting on Urgency"s cover and you know exactly what kind of music you"re going to get.
