For two decades this trio has packed a heavy punch, with members Rick Santers (lead vocals, guitars, keys and songwriting) along with brother Mark Santers (drums) and Rick Lazaroff (bass). This is self evident on their new best of CD Cold Fusion that rocks from start to finish with songs from their four critically acclaimed international releases, Top Secrecy, Guitar Alley, Racing Time and Shot Down in Flames. As a bonus, Cold Fusion features two never before released tracks that are sure to please. 
Cold Fusion delivers the essential SANTERS sound. Kicking off with the signature rocker Can"t Shake You and flowing into the classic Mistreatin Heart, the album surges ahead with the band"s powerful remake of FREE"s anthem All Right Now.  
 
Familiar tracks such as Road to Morocco, You Turn Me On and the ominous Winter Freeze, described by Martin Popoff as an emotional jewel which pulsed and pumped insidiously to the depths of my brain in successful carving of a permanent home, round out the album. Also included are songs from the bands newest album Top Secrecy. Come and Get it rocks with an intense melodic energy, while Dry Your Tears is a powerful ballad that swells with emotion.

The trio began in Toronto in 1980, first gigging at local high schools then touring across Canada and into the States. The band"s talents were first recognized when they won a local radio contest sponsored by Toronto"s rock radio station Q107. Soon after, 1981 saw the release of their first album Shot Down in Flames debut on the international scene and the band never looked back. SANTERS kept increasing its momentum through a steady stream of albums, including Mayday (EP 1981), Racing Time (1982) Guitar Alley (1984). SANTERS first three albums, Guitar Alley, Racing Time and Shot Down in Flames were originally released in more than ten countries around the world including Canada, the United States, Germany, Japan, UK, Sweden, France, Spain, Australia and the Benelux. "Can"t Shake You", the video, has seen regular rotation on MTV and Much Music and received solid rotation on over 200 Rock Radio stations across Canada and the United States, while SANTERS" remake of FREE"s classic "All Right Now" found its way into the Top 40 and reached lucky #13 on 1050 CHUM in Toronto. The release of the album Racing Time brought the band to the England, Scotland and Wales where the tour climaxed with a knockout performance at the Hammersmith Odeon Theatre in London. Back at home SANTERS toured with OZZY OZBOURNE on the Diary of a Madman tour and performed live shows with BLUE OYSTER CULT, RICK DERRINGER, TRIUMPH, JOHNNY WINTER, GOLDEN EARRING, RATT and ACCEPT.

Between 1986 and 1992, SANTERS took a break from recording while Rick Santers performed with legendary Canadian rockers TRIUMPH, helping out on stage with guitars, keys and vocals. During this time Rick began working on a solo project and produced local artists. In 1996 Rick Santers released his first solo album ReViTaLiZe to critical acclaim.

1998 began with an incredible resurgence with SANTERS lV - The Box Set released in Japan, featuring the band"s four studio albums; Top Secrecy, Guitar Alley, Racing Time and Shot Down in Flames plus never before released bonus tracks.
